Commitment
We take responsibility
Conservation of resources
Every fruit that is not eaten is one fruit too many! This is why, for economic reasons and based on our personal conviction, we place great value on a resource-saving value-added chain – starting with sowing, on through to the distribution of the fruit and vegetables to our customers. The core of our commitment is, on the one hand, strengthening local production in the countries of origin through promoting education, social and technological progress and, on the other hand, through the best possible advising of our customers in their production planning (product range and availability). We benefit particularly from our decades of experience and the sense of responsibility of our customers. Sustainability as a synonym for conserving the essential characteristics of our fruit and vegetables, their supply stability and natural ability for regeneration are not just buzzwords to us, but a corporate culture that we live and breathe at frutal.
Charitable commitment
The economic success of frutal and the extraordinary efforts of our staff and customers, who contribute to this significantly, is not a matter of course to us. Just as nature is our economic basis, for some people it is only natural to help those less fortunate than ourselves. For others, it is simply a matter of course. For this reason, we continually support selected organisations both financially as well as with our fruit and vegetables. Examples include:
- Viva con Aqua, a non-profit water supplier committed to water projects and world hunger aid, with the aim of providing people in developing countries with access to clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene facilities.
Responsibility on-site
Through regular controls, frutal is committed to the continuous improvement of working conditions on-site. In Morocco and in Turkey, staff working in cultivation and processing are in long-term employment positions.
